کسی کو گماں ہے اب کہ مرےساتھ تم بھی تھے

ہائے وہ روز و شب کہ مرے ساتھ تم بھی تھے

یادش بخیر عہدِ گزشتہ کی صحبتیں

اک دور تھا جب کہ مرے ساتھ تم بھی تھے 

بےمہری حیات کی شدت کے باوجود 

دل مطمئن تھا جب کہ مرے ساتھ میں بھی تھے

میں اور تقابلِ غمِ دوراں کا حوصلہ

کچھ بن گیا سبب کہ مرے ساتھ تم بھی تھے

اک خواب ہوگئی ہے رہ و رسم دوستی

اک وہم سا ہے اب کہ مرے ساتھ تم بھی تھے

وہ بزمِ دوست یاد تو ہوگی تمھیں فراز

وہ محفلِ طرب کے مرے ساتھ تم بھی تھے

Ik daur tha jab ke mere sath tum bhi thy

Bay mehri hayat ki shidat ke bawajud 

Dil mutmain tha jab ke mere sath tum bhi thy

Main aur taqabal e gham e dauraan ka hausla

Kuch ban gaya sabab ke mere sath tum bhi thy

Ik khawab ho gayi hai reh o rasm Dosti

Ik wehm sa hai ab ke mere sath tum bhi thy

Wo bazm e Dost yad to ho gi tumhen FARAZ
