کبھی رُک گئے کبھی چل دیے کبھی چلتے چلتےبھٹک گئے

یونہی عُمر ساری گزار دی یونہی زندگی گے ستم سہے

کبھی نیند میں کبھی ہوش میں تو جہاں ملا تجھے دیکھ کر

نہ نظر ملی نہ زبان ہلی یونہی سر جُھکا کے گزر گئے

کبھی زُلف پر کبھی چشم پر کبھی ترے حسیں وجود پر

جو پسند تھے میری کتاب میں وہ شعر سارے بکھر گئے

مجھے یاد ہے کبھی ایک تھے مگر آج ہم ہیں جُدا جُدا

وہ جُدا ہوئے تو سنور گئے ہم جُدا ہوئے تو بکھر گئے

کبھی عرش پر کبھی فرش پر کبھی اُن کے دَر کبھی دَربدر

غمِ عاشقی تیرا شکریہ ہم کہاں کہاں سے کزر گئے
